Neural network created a video for Lindemann

The lead singer of the German band Rammstein, Till Lindemann, as part of his own project Lindemann (together with Swedish musician Peter Tägtgren), released a video for the song Ich Weiß Es Nich ("I don't know"), which was created using artificial intelligence.

As stated in the description, the video was shot using a generative adversarial network (GAN) - an algorithm based on two neural networks capable of generating and analyzing thousands of images: the first creates samples, and the second filters out the correct (authentic) ones from the incorrect ones, then the GAN produces a new sample, combining the original ones.

The AI was previously supplied with a large amount of material to create a new sequence of images for this video. The result is a monochrome and gloomy video. The video begins with images of snails and butterflies, eventually growing into hundreds of artificially generated faces, layered and replacing each other.
